Dr. Sejal Bavishi, MD, FAAP is a pediatric hospitalist at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Additionally, she is a primary care physician in the outpatient acute care walk-in clinic. Dr. Bavishi completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, medical school at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and pediatrics residency at Georgetown University Hospital. She has always been passionate about resident education and was excited to officially join the residency program leadership as the Associate Program Director in 2016! Her primary focus is the inpatient curriculum and rotations. She is the co-director of the residents’ Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Track, educating residents on identifying QI/PS issues and implementing initiatives to help address them. Additionally, she also leads the resident Board Review Series, an interactive lecture series aimed at reviewing core board exam topics. Dr. Bavishi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and daughter, Anya. In her free time, she enjoys running/hiking, listening to music (Coldplay!), watching the Green Bay Packers and cooking vegetarian/vegan food.
