Born in Iraq and raised in Jordan, May comes from a family deeply rooted in medicine and was especially inspired by her grandfather, a former Minister of Health.
Before coming to Georgetown, May completed pediatric residency training in Jordan and earned her Arab Board certification in Pediatrics. Training in both well-resourced and resource-limited settings taught her adaptability and how to make thoughtful use of available resources to provide excellent care.
Now a PGY-3 and Chief Resident at Georgetown Pediatrics, May is experiencing life abroad for the first time in Washington, DC. She feels incredibly fortunate to call such a diverse, vibrant, and welcoming city home and has found another family within the Georgetown Pediatrics community. She looks forward to making the most of this chapter, both in residency and throughout DC.
