Why NRH-Georgetown? I was initially drawn to this program’s well-rounded curriculum including its strong affiliation with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Walter Reed, and the NIH. I also appreciated the structure of the NRH's continuity clinic and, more specifically, that I would be supported in exploring my own niches including osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). Additionally, I was impressed by the plethora of opportunities to serve under-resourced communities, both locally and globally, through the NRH’s multiple track offerings. Despite not being able to complete a rotation with the NRH's program during medical school, I still felt incredibly welcomed and supported via my interactions with the program coordinator, as well as a few of the residents I had the opportunity to meet virtually. This program offered the perfect balance of a close-knit community and robust track offerings while still prioritizing a comprehensive curriculum. I am also incredibly excited to move closer to my family in the DMV area and explore DC!
