Amish Shah, MD, is the vice president of Medical Operations and Executive Pillar Chief for MedStar Shah Medical Group, and also serves as director of the Division of Cardiology for MedStar Shah Medical Group. In these roles, he is responsible for medical operations oversight of more than 170 providers in MedStar Shah Medical Group, which delivers high-quality care to more than 600,000 residents across Southern Maryland and Prince George’s County.
Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland. An accomplished cardiologist, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by Cardiology training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Having grown up in Southern Maryland, Dr. Shah is delighted to give back to the community that nurtured him. He actively pursues the latest advancements in medicine and integrates leading-edge technology to provide exceptional patient care.
