Sacha Burn is the Scientific Center Administrative Director of the Center for Biostatistics, Informatics, and Data Science (CBIDS) at MedStar Health Research Institute. In this role, she leads both the scientific research portfolio and the core research services that CBIDS provides to MedStar Health.
Sacha oversees a growing portfolio of federally and commercially funded research projects focused on artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and health informatics. In parallel, she directs CBIDS’ Core services, supporting hundreds of research and operational projects each year for MedStar investigators, medical residents, and research fellows. As Scientific Center Administrator, Sacha serves as the central leader connecting investigators and research teams with the data infrastructure, services, and resources needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered research.
Sacha began her career with MedStar Health in 2018 as a Human Factors Specialist. She has since held progressively senior roles, including Business and Operations Manager for the National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare and later as Scientific Center Administrative Director for CBIDS.
Sacha holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors and Ergonomics from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Ergonomics and Biomechanics from New York University.
