Amy Loveland, MA, CRCC, is the executive director of the Medical and Surgical Research Network at MedStar Health Research Institute. In this role, she serves as the primary administrative contact for investigators in medical and surgical specialties. Amy helps connect these investigators with the resources they need for both sponsored and investigator-initiated research and clinical trials, and she supports proposal development efforts to secure new funding opportunities. Additionally, Amy leads the associates and managers at MHRI who work on the medical-surgical research studies.
With over 20 years of experience at MedStar Health Research Institute, Amy has held various roles, including research associate, coordinator, program manager, and associate director. Previously, she was the Scientific Center Administrative Director for the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Research Network, where she facilitated research collaboration with Georgetown University and managed numerous commercial, federal, foundation, and investigator-initiated orthopedic studies across the organizations. She also managed all research activities from the orthopedic and sports medicine residents and fellows. Amy serves on MedStar Health’s Institutional Review Board, is a member of the MHRI Senior Leadership Team, and co-chairs the MHRI Wellness Committee.
Amy earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her master’s degree from Towson University.
