Nathan has over 9 years of healthcare experience and held variety of roles in patient care settings, healthcare administration/leadership, and performance improvement. He began his Lean Six Sigma journey in the United States Navy where he established a solid foundation in performance improvement, change management, and data analytics. In addition, he earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Certification through the Navy and earned his Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification through Villanova University. Prior to joining MedStar, Nathan served as the Continuous Process Improvement and Lean Six Sigma (CPI/LSS) coordinator, project lead for organizational performance improvement, and project mentor for Navy Medical Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Annapolis, MD and NMRTU Earle, NJ. While serving in his previous role, he engaged with leaders and stakeholders, identified process improvement opportunities, created and taught LSS and change management curriculum. Additionally, he led and mentored projects that spanned across clinical, quality, operational and administrative processes.
