MedStar SiTEL making a difference, in surgery
“The real-life benefit of MedStar SiTEL robotics simulation training with our residents actually came to benefit my own case when we encountered bleeding in an operation only a couple of weeks after the training session.
I did not have a resident in the room, but by applying the steps I had reviewed in the simulation session, we were able to safely convert the robotic case to open and the patient experienced a great outcome both clinically and oncologically.
I firmly believe that having that knowledge base at my disposal made a difficult experience one that was managed smoothly and with confidence.”
