The rehabilitation medicine department at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital offers rehabilitation services on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Our objective is to help patients achieve their highest potential.

Individual programs are developed to meet each patient's needs and goals, whether it is to walk independently again or learn to cook a meal without assistance. Rehabilitative services include making patients stronger, relieving their pain, helping them regain use of an affected limb, providing the skills to communicate effectively or guiding them to re-learn activities once taken for granted in daily living. The department offers education about illnesses or injuries, and helps patients adapt to these conditions.

We provide treatment for COVID-19 rehabilitation, LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG, lymphedema, Parkinson’s and neurological rehabilitation, occupational therapy, orthopaedic rehabilitation, pain management, pelvic rehabilitation, physical Therapy, Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation, Walking Program for Peripheral Artery Disease (SET-PAD), speech therapy, and stroke rehabilitation services.
