The Women’s Pavilion at MedStar Franklin Square is where more than 2,400 babies are born and cared for each year by our dedicated staff. Our expert obstetrics team prides itself on providing comprehensive, family-centered care in a supportive environment throughout each woman’s pregnancy journey.
The current space within the Women’s Pavilion is ready for an expansive modernization and upgrade. As we see a steady increase in the number of patients every year, this modernization is essential, and so we are embarking on a renovation to renew this space to meet the desired expectations of our patients and their families.

The renovated Women’s Pavilion will:
- Transform the labor, delivery, and emergency triage space to provide both clinical and office spaces.
- Create a welcoming environment that is a safe, comfortable space for moms and their new babies.
- Enhance our operating rooms, triage, labor and delivery spaces, and post-partum rooms with innovative and advanced technology.
- Provide a close proximity and dedicated transport spaces that connects our Level III NICU to labor and delivery.
