Sarah Klein serves as Vice President of Philanthropy at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, joining the team in 2026. In this role, she leads philanthropic strategy, deepens donor and community partnerships, and advances support for patient care, clinical excellence, and strategic priorities.
Sarah is a passionate relationship builder with nearly two decades of experience advancing philanthropic growth and deepening donor engagement across healthcare, higher education, and mission-driven nonprofit organizations.
Previous roles include service as Senior Director of Financial Resource Development and Interim Chief Development Officer at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Sarah oversaw donor engagement strategy and key fundraising programs while partnering closely with senior leaders and volunteers. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Sarah contributed to organizational strategy and long-term fundraising sustainability.
Earlier in her career, Sarah held senior development roles at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and served in advancement leadership positions supporting major institutions and boards. She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
