Carmen Lott, RN, BSN, MHA, vice president of MedStar Visiting Nurse Association, leads clinical operations and business administration for MedStar VNA’s Central Maryland and District of Columbia agencies.  She also oversees home health nursing services across all four MedStar VNA agencies and a homecare infusion company to ensure that the organization provides the highest level of quality homecare services possible. She uses her 30 years of nursing experience and management savvy to tackle important special projects, like utilizing technology more effectively in clinical practice, building strategies to improve patient outcomes through disease management, and streamlining administrative processes.

Since joining MedStar VNA in 2001, Lott has served as a senior operations director, VP of Support Services and Special Projects, and VP of MedStar Health Infusion (MHI). Through her leadership and operations expertise, Lott lead MedStar VNA’s home infusion company – MHI – to make a complete financial turnaround at a time when the business was at risk for divestiture. With many years of experience as a homecare nurse in the field, Lott's clinical expertise and operational understanding help her to build trust and engagement with clinical associates, peers and leaders.

Lott is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Hahnemann University and a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Ashford University.
