Lauren Flynn is the Clinical Director for Inpatient Surgical Services. In this role Lauren provides leadership and planning for the intermediate care and surgical specialty units. Lauren began her nursing career at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital on 7 Bles, the General Surgery/ENT unit. She graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her Master of Nursing Education from Georgetown University. Prior to her current role Lauren was the Clinical Manager of 4 East, the Hepatology Intermediate Care unit, where she received Nurse of the Year and led the team to three Beacon Award designations. Additionally, Lauren has completed the MedStar Leader of the Future Nursing Development Program and received Nurse Executive certification.
