Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders and Mascot Poe to make special appearance.
BALTIMORE — MedStar Health is inviting cheerleaders from middle school to college to an exclusive performance training workshop on Sat., May 31, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at MedStar Health Sports Performance, 10534 York Rd., Cockeysville, MD.
Hosted by the trusted medical team behind the Ravens Cheerleaders, the event focuses on cheer-specific strength training, mobility, and endurance—key components to help young athletes elevate their performance and stay injury-free.
The workshop will be conducted by Alex Milton, a MedStar Health certified strength and conditioning specialist who has been working with Ravens Cheerleaders for the past two years.
“Cheerleaders are phenomenal athletes with perfect body control,” said Milton. “They go from zero to one hundred with every routine and every competition. They are gunning it every time they practice. That kind of intensity requires serious muscle strength and smart preparation because without it, they really face the potential to get hurt, particularly with over-use injuries and concussions.”
Workshop attendees will receive:
- Expert-led training sessions
- Free sports injury screenings
- Injury prevention tips tailored for cheer athletes
- A meet and greet opportunity with Ravens cheerleaders and Ravens mascot, Poe!
This high-energy, educational event is free and open to cheerleaders looking to sharpen their edge, improve performance, and learn from the best in the business. Space is limited.
