Art K. Sivaslian

Art Sivaslian is the president of MedStar Ambulatory Services. He is responsible for coordinating the development, strategy and operations of MedStar Health Ambulatory Services across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. In this role, Sivaslian will work to enhance the existing portfolio of ambulatory services and establish and operate new ambulatory care sites and services.

Sivaslian joined MedStar Health with more than 26 years of healthcare experience most recently with Inova Health System, where he was the senior vice president of Clinical Enterprise and Surgical Services. In this role, he was responsible for operational, clinical, quality, and financial performance of Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Services. He was instrumental in standardizing and unifying the delivery of surgical care across the Inova Health System.

During his tenure at Inova, he held a number of leadership roles, including interim vice president of Operations for Inova Medical Group, vice president for Ambulatory Services and Ambulatory Surgery Centers, assistant vice president and chief growth officer for Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, and director of Strategic Planning for the Eastern Region. Before joining Inova, Sivaslian was team leader, Financial Planning and Performance Analysis, for Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic and assistant administrator for Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Sivaslian has a bachelor’s degree in medical research and technology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and a master’s degree in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.
