About me
Dr. Akbari performs vascular and endovascular surgery, including complex lower-extremity interventions, limb salvage, open and endovascular aneurysm repair, carotid surgery, dialysis access surgery and interventions.
He has authored or co-authored 67 articles, reviews, and editorials in refereed journal and multimedia, is the author or co-author of 30 book chapters, and has given over 100 presentations nationally and internationally.
In collaboration with the MedStar Wound Healing Institute at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Dr. Akbari has maintained a long-standing expertise and dedication to complex lower extremity vascular and endovascular surgery and limb salvage. His practice is primarily located at MGUH.
