About me
Bhavik Gupta, DO, is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. He sees patients in pulmonary clinic for a wide range of respiratory conditions, with particular clinical interest in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He also cares for patients admitted to the intensive care unit.
Dr. Gupta takes a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care, focusing on the whole person rather than isolated symptoms. As an osteopathic physician, he emphasizes understanding how medical conditions intersect with lifestyle, nutrition, stress, physical activity, and overall well-being. A dedicated educator, Dr. Gupta is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he teaches pulmonary medicine. He also serves as core faculty for the MedStar Georgetown Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and is committed to training the next generation of physicians.
Beyond clinical medicine, Dr. Gupta has a strong interest in fitness, nutrition, and healthy living, which informs both his personal life and his approach to patient care. He is also enthusiastic about the evolving role of artificial intelligence in healthcare and its potential to improve diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and patient outcomes when applied thoughtfully and ethically.
