About me
Eric C. Daubach, MD, is a dual board-certified physician in emergency and sports medicine, with fellowship-training in the field. He treats patients with musculoskeletal pain and injuries involving the muscles, bones, and joints, such as arthritis, concussion, sprains, tendonitis, stress fractures, overuse injuries, and sports-related conditions that can interfere with daily activity or athletic performance. When appropriate, his approach may include regenerative medicine options, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, which use a person’s own blood components to support healing, and prolotherapy, which uses a targeted injection to stimulate the body’s repair response. He also provides gel and steroid injections for joint pain.
A focus on moving well and staying active shapes each visit. Dr. Daubach begins by listening to what patients want to return to, then reviews symptoms, imaging, and exam findings to better understand the source of the problem. When helpful, he uses ultrasound to support the diagnosis or guide select in-office procedures. Based on that evaluation, he recommends clear next steps that may include home exercise programs, physical therapy, medications, injections, or other less-invasive approaches. To support continuity after the visit, he also values keeping referring clinicians informed so follow-up is clear and the plan stays aligned across the care team.
His work with athletic programs adds a practical perspective on injury management at every stage. Dr. Daubach serves as head team physician for Marymount University and has provided sideline and training-room support for athletes at Georgetown University, Gallaudet University, and multiple collegiate and high-school programs. That experience strengthens his ability to guide people through acute injuries, recovery, and a safe return to activity.
Philosophy of Care
That real-world perspective also shapes how he thinks about recovery. Dr. Daubach believes an injury is rarely just physical. As a former collegiate baseball player, he understands how pain can disrupt training, routines, confidence, and activities that are personally important to each patient.
Recognizing that impact, he approaches recovery as a shared decision rather than a one-size-fits-all process. He takes time to understand what feels realistic, what may feel overwhelming, and what kind of support each individual needs. From there, he helps patients weigh their options and choose a plan that feels clear, appropriate, and aligned with their priorities—often beginning with lower-intensity options whenever appropriate.
The result is a partnership designed to help patients and their loved ones feel heard, informed, and supported as they work toward healing and a safe return to daily life, exercise, or sport.
