About me
Jean-Marc Voyadzis, MD, is associate professor in the Department of Neurosurgery and co-director of the Center for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at MedStar Georgetown. He is also Director of Spinal Oncology and Spine Tumor Surgery at MedStar Georgetown.
Dr. Voyadzis earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Kober Medal for the highest overall record of academic performance. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Chicago. With broad interests and expertise in both brain and spinal surgery, he is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and is an active member of several neurosurgical societies.
Dr. Voyadzis has published numerous book chapters, journal articles, and abstracts on various topics related to neurosurgery, including Decision Making for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He has been invited to speak as an expert on spine surgery and has trained surgeons all over the world, including the United States, Germany, Brazil, China and France.
