About me
Jemima Akinsanya, DO, joins MedStar Health as a neurologist and Assistant Professor for the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Department of Neurology. Fellowship-trained in neuroimmunology, Dr. Akinsanya has a special interest in autoimmune and inflammatory disorders of the brain and spinal cord. She is the director of the multiple sclerosis clinic at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. Following a team-based approach, Dr. Akinsanya is dedicated to empowering shared decision-making and involves patients in all aspects of care. She is committed to health equity and increasing diversity in clinical trials.
