About me

Mariama Keita, DNP, ACNP-C, CRNP, is a neurology nurse practitioner. Working in collaboration with neurologists, endocrinologists, primary care providers, palliative care specialists, physical therapists, and social workers, she provides comprehensive care for patients admitted to the hospital during and following strokes, seizures, and other sudden neurologic events. In tandem, she treats patients on an outpatient basis who require care for chronic issues such as migraines, vertigo, and neuropathy.

Mariama brings unique perspective to the patient care environment based on her own personal experiences. Growing up, she saw a great need for better care, more patient education, and improved support, when her family members required medical attention. Her career pathway was born out of a desire to provide a better care experience for people. In line with that original vision, Mariama is a very patient-centered care provider who believes in the value of holistic care. She considers family, culture, and environmental factors as she builds relationships, makes treatment recommendations, and guides patients on the pathway to healing and recovery.

Mariama is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
