About me
Dr. Ngoda Manongi is a fellowship-trained cardiologist board certified in internal medicine. He specializes in a broad range of noninvasive cardiovascular treatments as well as cardiac imaging and diagnostics. His clinical areas of focus include: cardiac stress tests, electrocardiography, hypertension and high cholesterol management, as well as transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Manongi partners with patients, their families, care teams, and other specialists to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. He wants his patients to understand their diagnosis and treatment options and sees them as experts on their bodies, valuing their insights as part of the care process. Dr. Manongi is committed to being a trusted resource, helping his patients understand complex medical information and empowering them to make informed decisions.
Education & Training
Dr. Manongi earned his medical degree and master’s degrees in biophysics and physiology from Stony Brook University in New York. He completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian, where he also held a leadership role as chief resident.
In addition to providing cardiac care, Dr. Manongi has conducted research on hypertension, recurrent angina, and obstructive coronary heart disease, among other topics. His research includes published case reports in peer-reviewed medical journals and presentations at scientific conferences.
