About me
Dr. Buch is a double fellowship-trained transplant nephrologist who cares for patients with kidney transplants, liver-kidney transplants, and kidney-pancreas transplants. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Buch’s areas of special interest and research include improving access to transplantation, strategies to increase organ donation, and overcoming barriers to transplantation among veterans. She sees patients at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Buch treats patients and their families with the same care and compassion she would want to be treated with by healthcare providers and provides a holistic approach to care for each patient.
She earned her medical degree from Kesar Sal Medical College and Research Institute in Ahmedabad, India and completed her residency in internal medicine at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She completed a nephrology fellowship at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore and a fellowship in transplant nephrology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
When she’s not working, Dr. Buch enjoys classical Indian and Bollywood dance, volunteering at cultural events, and traveling.
