About me
Dr. Kohli is a fellowship trained transplant hepatologist. He is board certified in gastroenterology, transplant hepatology, and internal medicine. His areas of special expertise are management of chronic liver disease before and after transplantation, autoimmune liver disease, and portal hypertension (elevated blood pressure in the veins that lead to and branch off the liver).
He treats patients with the full range of liver diseases. In addition to the conditions listed above, he cares for patients with:
- Alcoholic liver disease
- Fatty liver disease
- Metabolic liver disorders
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
- GI bleeding
Dr. Kohli received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Dublin. He completed his residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation and fellowships in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.
He has written book chapters and been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology. He has also presented at national and international meetings and been an invited speaker in the U.S. and overseas.
Dr. Kohli has a special interest in medical education and is involved in training medical students, residents, and gastroenterology and hepatology fellows.
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, who is also a physician, his young daughter, and their dog.
