Dr. Novatcheva provides outpatient psychiatric care and resident supervision in the outpatient offices at Trinity Square (MWHC) and MGUH. Dr. Novatcheva was born in Bulgaria, grew up in Austria and Australia, and moved to the U.S. at age 12. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle (B.S. Biology, B.A. International Studies), medical school at UC San Diego, and psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia, where she served as Outpatient Service Chief. Her professional interests include medical education as well as hands-on approaches to treatment. Outside of work, she enjoys stained glass art along with what she calls her “grandma hobbies” - crocheting, knitting, and weaving.
