Megan grew up in Crestwood, Kentucky before heading to Centre College, where she studied behavioral neuroscience and played collegiate soccer. After graduation, she found her way to Spain, where she spent time teaching and learning Spanish before returning to the U.S. to work in case management with individuals in the horse racing industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. That experience inspired her to pursue an MPH alongside her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Megan's academic interests include preventive care, migrant and global health, and the intersection of medicine and public health. She's excited to continue exploring those interests while caring for patients of all ages during residency.
Outside of medicine, Megan is almost always training for her next race or convincing herself that signing up for another marathon was a good idea. Although her days of collegiate soccer are behind her, she still loves finding a pickup game whenever she can. She's looking forward to getting to know D.C., one neighborhood and running trail at a time.
