Originally from Half Moon Bay, CA, Soyi grew up in north New Jersey. After going to the Midwest for college, she returned home for med school. She is so thrilled to explore the vibrant city of DC through art, museums, and food. Soyi also loves to weight lift, cook her family's traditional recipes, attempt the weekend NYT crosswords, drink coffee, hike, bird-watch, and garden (all-things nature except maybe bugs). Academically, Soyi is interested in global health and medical education. She is possibly interested in a combined subspecialty but is undecided on which one!
