Meredith Njus is the Inpatient Chief Resident at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Originally from Metro Detroit, she earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with High Honors from the University of Michigan before coming Georgetown University for medical school. During her residency, she pursued her passion for medical education joining the Michael Adams Clinical Educators track, and was honored with the Donald M. Knowlan, MD Award for bringing compassion and humor into the practice of medicine upon graduation. Meredith plans to pursue a career in academic cardiology, with particular interests in endovascular interventions and heart rhythm disorders. Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring D.C.’s vibrant food scene, international travel, and is an avid fan of Michigan football and the Detroit Lions.
