About me
Daria Abolghasemi, DO, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified breast surgeon specializing in breast surgical oncology at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. She is a graduate of Fordham University and earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology-College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Abolghasemi treats a wide variety of patients with breast issues including those with benign conditions, patients at high risk for breast cancer, and patients with breast cancer.
She was inspired early on by her mother’s journey with breast cancer, leading her to pursue a career in breast surgery. She believes in providing all patients comprehensive and compassionate, high-quality care by applying evidenced-based and interdisciplinary approaches to the treatment of breast disease. She is trained in the most up-to-date surgical procedures including nipple-sparing mastectomies and wireless lumpectomies. She is also passionate about mitigating disparities in breast cancer treatment.
