We are looking for the next generation of healthcare providers! The St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation awards scholarships to individuals within our community working toward obtaining degrees related to the healthcare profession. Scholarship Program Facts
- Scholarships pay up to $2,200 per semester
- Funds can be used for tuition, required books, lab fees and school appointed uniforms
- Scholarships can last up to four years
- Candidates must agree to a pre-determined length of employment with MedStar St. Mary's Hospital following gradation
The Foundation accepts applications from individuals interested not only in nursing, but also in the growing field of allied health. These allied health professionals are involved in many aspects of health care, including but not limited to:
- Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy
- Radiology
- Respiratory Therapy
- Ultrasound
- Laboratory Technology
About The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation
The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation is an independently governed, charitable arm of the not-for-profit hospital. The Foundation spearheads the hospital's capital campaign and runs special fundraising events, including the Foundation Gala each fall. The group funds special needs for the hospital, from expansion projects and special medical equipment to annual healthcare scholarships. The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation raises private funds to support capital expansion projects, advanced medical technology and programs.
