MedStar Program Part of Cancer Moonshot Efforts

MedStar Washington Hospital Center has launched the “Colon Cancer Prevention in the Neighborhood” program as part of Vice President Joe Biden’s Cancer Moonshot efforts. The program at the Hospital Center seeks to improve early detection and prevention of colon cancer, particularly among African-Americans in the Ward 5 neighborhood in Washington, D.C., where the highest yearly prevalence of colon cancer has been reported.
