Allen and Gwendolyn Crouse

Allen and Gwendolyn Crouse

Allen and Gwendolyn Crouse were married in 1951 and resided in Harford County, Maryland, where they raised their eight children. Mr. Crouse worked very hard, throughout his life, to support his family. He left formal schooling after the third grade to take a full-time job in a local factory to help his parents. He went on to build several successful businesses that allowed him to provide for his growing family.

Mr. and Mrs. Crouse placed a high value on education for their children, encouraging each one to attain their full potential. They were very proud of the pioneering work of their son-in-law, Dr. David Mayer, to make health care safer for everyone through education of the next generation of physicians, nurses, therapists, and other professionals. They believed strongly in this work and wanted to see it continue. The lecture series named in their honor is a fitting tribute to their memory and their legacy.
