Kathy Nasman, MSN, RN, CMSRN, is a director of nursing for MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. She maintains accountability for nursing services, unit operations, and provides direct oversight of 100 associates.
Prior to her current position at St. Mary’s, Nasman filled several nursing and leadership roles within MedStar Washington Hospital Center to include staff nurse, clinical care facilitator, patient care manager, and director of nursing inpatient medicine behavioral health unit.
Nasman obtained an Associate of Science in nursing from the College of Southern Maryland, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University, and a Master of Science – concentration in nursing leadership and management from Stevenson University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses. Nasman has a certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing. She is the co-chair of the MedStar Health Medical-Surgical Nursing Council and oversees the MedStar St. Mary’s NICHE program.
