Rebecca Wathen, MSN, RN, CNOR is the Director of Perioperative Services for MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. In this role, she maintains operations for surgical patients in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of their surgical experience in various specialties.
Wathen started her career at MedStar St. Mary’s in 2008 as a nurse technician and has since moved through the roles of clinical nurse and clinical coordinator in Perioperative Services, prior to assuming her current role as director.
Wathen earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from College of Southern Maryland, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University, and holds her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. She is board certified in Perioperative Nursing.
