About me
Board-certified in neurology, Mark Lin, MD, PhD, serves as Director of Movement Disorders at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. His background in immunology is influential to his research and making advances in patient care.
Dr. Lin is highly regarded in the treatment and research of management for movement disorders with special expertise in the programming of deep brain stimulators for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, other types of tremor, and dystonia. He is also considered highly skilled in the use of botulinum therapy for the treatment of movement disorders, limb spasticity and chronic migraine.

Over the years, he has developed a prevention strategy for levodopa induced motor complications. He is as an associate professor at Georgetown University, participating in clinical teaching and clinical research.
After earning his medical degree from what is now known as Guangdong Medical University in Guangdong, China, Dr. Lin completed an MS and PhD at Albert Einstein College of Medicine followed by a residency in neurology at the same institution.
