About me
Dr. Fond is a fellowship-trained, board-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating problems of the GI tract. His areas of special expertise include:
- Colorectal cancer screening and prevention
- Dyspepsia (indigestion)
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Gastroparesis (a condition where the stomach muscles do not contract properly and move food to the small intestines to be digested)
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Liver disease
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (upper endoscopy)
Dr. Fond takes the time to make sure that every one of his patients understands their condition and options for treatment and answers any questions they have. This helps patients be active partners in their care.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia and completed his residency and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
