About me
Arul “Ron” Thomas, MD is a transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist in the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute. He has a special interest in autoimmune diseases, coagulation dysfunction in liver disease, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, and pediatric to adult transition. He is involved in research efforts in these areas. He strives to help patients navigate complex diseases and reach successful outcomes. He is also an avid medical educator and enjoys teaching students, housestaff and fellows. A native of the D.C. area, Dr. Thomas sees patients at MedStar Georgetown University, MedStar Washington Hospital Center and in Annapolis.
