About me
Dana Frank, MD, FACP, is chairman of Medicine for MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Frank is a strong advocate for the importance of academics in advancing health, and he champions the use of novel methods of delivering higher quality care to the communities we serve.
An Internal Medicine physician with more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Frank was named chairman of the integrated departments of Medicine at MedStar Good Samaritan and MedStar Union Memorial hospitals in September 2013. In addition to a reputation for working closely with primary care physicians in the community, Dr. Frank is a noted educator and serves as an assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Frank believes in promoting excellence in clinical care while reaching out to members of the local community to better understand their healthcare needs. He also believes in the importance of patient education that enables individuals to understand their options and what they can do to improve their health.
Dr. Frank earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He completed an internship and residency in Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Kaiser Foundation. In addition, he completed a fellowship in General Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University.
