About me
Grant M. Kleiber, MD, is the Chair of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Kleiber specializes in a broad range of peripheral nerve surgery including nerve reconstruction, nerve transfers, and nerve decompression. Dr. Kleiber’s reconstructive surgery focus is quite different from our other plastic & reconstructive surgeons. His versatile skills include:

- Traumatic upper and lower extremity injuries including:
- Hand and forearm fractures
- Tendon repair and reconstruction
- Nerve and vascular injuries

- Occipital neuralgia headaches

Dr. Kleiber completed his medical doctorate at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Kleiber later completed his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Finally, he completed a fellowship in Hand & Peripheral Nerve Surgery and Microsurgery at Washington University’s Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
