About me
John S. Brebbia, MD, FACS, MBA, is a general surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.
His areas of interest are: Foregut surgery, including antireflux procedures and Heller myotomy for achalasia, Laparoscopic bariatric and oncologic procedures, Solid organ surgery including splenectomy, adrenalectomy and nephrectomy, Hernia surgery including groin, ventral, parastomal and paraesophageal.
Dr. Brebbia received his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo, where he also completed his surgical internship and residency. Following his residency, he completed an MBA at The George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Brebbia's accomplishments include: Serving as assistant professor of surgery at State University of New York at Stony Brook, Implementing the Bariatrics program at Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford Delaware, Publishing numerous journal articles in CHEST, Contemporary Surgery, Critical Care Medicine, and Treating patients in wound care as a volunteer following the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
