About me
Dr. Kushagra Sharma specializes in cardiovascular care, and diagnoses and treats a broad range of conditions, including: arrhythmias, AFib, and atrial flutter; peripheral atherosclerosis; cardiac effects of pulmonary embolism; cardiomyopathy; coronary artery disease; heart failure; hyperlipidemia; hypertension; and valvular heart disease.
As part of his diagnosis, Dr. Sharma reviews imaging and other heart test results, including CT scans, echocardiograms, stress tests and cardiac monitoring to help identify heart conditions and determine the next steps in a patient’s care. He also performs tests/procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and electrical cardioversion to help diagnose and treat certain heart conditions.

Patient education is a cornerstone of Dr. Sharma’s approach to care. He believes helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options empowers them to better manage their condition or disease. Dr. Sharma partners with his patients in making informed decisions, ensuring their individual needs, goals, and best interests guide every aspect of their care and treatment.
Education & Training
Dr. Sharma received his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Corewell Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, Michigan, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan.
