Nicholas Simon, MD, MSc, is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He joins MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute as a medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary cancers, including bladder, prostate, kidney, and rare urologic malignancies. His clinical practice integrates advanced therapies with multidisciplinary care to meet the needs of patients with both common and complex diagnoses.

Dr. Simon’s research is focused on developing novel treatments for genitourinary cancers, including antibody-drug conjugates, immunotherapy, and precision medicine approaches. He has served as a principal and associate investigator on national and international clinical trials, and his work has been published in leading journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Simon previously served as Associate Chief Oncology Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, where he also earned recognition for teaching excellence, and as Chief Resident at the at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. He received his Masters in clinical investigation from Northwestern University. He continues to participate actively in training the next generation of oncology specialists through his academic and clinical leadership.
