About me
Noushin Jazebi, MD, a neurologist at Chevy Chase, MD location, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of neurological disorders with a focus on Electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular medicine. This includes intraoperative monitoring, autonomic system study, and transmagnetic stimulation to activate regions of the brain to improve symptoms. She also uses Botulinum Toxin Injections for many neuromuscular disorders, Dystonia, MS, and migraine headaches if considered the best treatment for the patient.
Dr. Jazebi sees many patients with different neurological disorders including Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Lou Gehrig’s disease, Muscle weakness due to endocrine abnormalities, and diseases of the peripheral nerve including Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Dystonia, and essential tremor. She also strives to treat not only the neurological disease but the emotional and psychological symptoms that understandably come with it.
Throughout the years, Dr. Jazebi has observed firsthand how therapeutic interventions can delay or prevent progressive neurogenerative diseases. She has a deep appreciation for the characteristic mind that defines each unique patient and believes trust and understanding is at the core of determining the bridge between the tangible and the intangible.
Dr. Jazebi is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
“My fascination with neurology is not just one of its biomedical aspects, but also the brain’s dynamic capabilities and restorative potential. Neurology is concerned with curing the underlying disease, but also entails an appreciation for the characteristic mind that defines each unique patient.” —Dr. Noushin Jazeb
