Samir Sur, MD, is a board certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who serves as Director of Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Surgery, as part of the Comprehensive Stroke Center team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. MedStar Franklin Square was named a Comprehensive Stroke Center in 2023, the highest level of designation available by The Joint Commission and the Maryland Institute of EMS Systems (MIEMSS). Dr. Sur also practices at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He utilizes a number of minimally invasive strategies including the transradial approach for Neuroendovascular surgery and minimally invasive craniotomies for treatment of brain tumors and aneurysms. In 2023 and 2024, he was named a Top Doctor by Baltimore magazine.
