About me
Tian Wang, MD, is a board certified neurologist with special interest in epilepsy, neurophysiology, headache medicine and neurodevelopmental disorder. A specialist in epilepsy and neurophysiology, Dr. Wang is part of an esteemed group of neurologists and neurosurgeons offering extraordinary new options for treating disorders and diseases of the brain and offering hope for patients with even the most complex problems. He enjoys the diverse patient and staff population at MedStar Health and is inspired by the department’s respectful and collaborative environment.

Dr. Wang completed epilepsy fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD after finishing his residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. A highly skilled physician board certified in neurology, Dr. Wang brings a caring, whole-person approach to his work with patients. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, American Neurological Association, and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. Dr. Wang has published extensively in peer-reviewed articles/abstracts and has presented as an invited speaker at the American Epilepsy Society annual meeting.
Philosophy of care
Caring for the whole person, not only their neurological problem, is central to Dr. Wang's compassionate approach to patient care. He listens carefully to each patient's concerns, needs, and hopes, working with them to provide the best outcomes. "I believe it is important to collaborate with my patients, so they feel they are partners in developing their treatment plan. I also believe in integrative approaches to wellbeing and often work with my patients to explore lifestyle solutions, such as diet and lifestyle management," explains Dr. Wang.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Wang enjoys traveling and exploring new places. He is also an avid hiker and loves to cook and try out new recipes.
