Matt is the lead for the Performance Improvement (PI) Analytics team, driving a culture of data-based decision-making and focused improvement via analytical support and development of user-friendly analytics products.

As a degreed mechanical engineer and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Matt began his career as a process engineer at manufacturing facilities for Frito-Lay and Nestlé. Matt joined MedStar in 2013, founding the Operational Excellence initiative at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and guiding the hospital on its Lean journey. Joining the system-level PI team in 2016, Matt has recently driven key outcomes in the perioperative services and supply chain arenas.
