Home to 26 Specialists, Advanced Imaging, and Rehab Opens Tuesday

COLUMBIA, Maryland (August 7, 2017)—MedStar Health is opening on Tuesday the Baltimore region’s premiere, comprehensive center for orthopaedics, spine and sports medicine. MedStar Health at Timonium, 2118 Greenspring Dr., is the new home to 26 physicians, with advanced radiology, ambulatory surgery, and specialized rehabilitation services on site.

Having all these services located together enables the care team to coordinate all the patient’s needs, streamlining appointments into one visit, including any diagnostic tests needed. Beyond convenience, it also means their doctor can easily consult with other specialists on site, which expedites diagnoses and treatment planning.

“This project serves as another demonstration of MedStar’s long-time commitment to making health care accessible where people live, work and play,” said Bob Gilbert, president of MedStar Ambulatory Services. “Currently, MedStar Health provides orthopaedic services in a number of different sites in the area. This unique approach to high-end specialized care epitomizes convenience, letting our patients get the care they need under one roof.”
