Jennifer Alvey, MS, BSN, RN, NE-BC, is a nursing director for MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. In this role, she serves as a nursing leader to maintain accountability for delivery of nursing services and unit operations.
Prior to her current position, Alvey served in multiple roles at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital to include emergency department clinical coordinator, nursing supervisor, and staff nurse in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, and Telemetry. Additionally, she has led several quality improvement teams including sepsis, clinical practice council, and critical response teams.
Alvey obtained an Associate of Science and nursing from Charles County Community College, a Bachelor of Science and Nursing from Kaplan University, and holds a Master of Science from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Alvey has an Executive Nursing board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
