About me
Dr. Laura Cowen is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. She then completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at a combined program between MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Cowen treats a wide range of conditions as a general endocrinologist with special interest in type 1 and type 2 diabetes, treatment of thyroid disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
