Nate Evans

Nathan Evans is the vice president of operations at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital. Nate most recently served as the regional director of operations for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, responsible for several regional clinical service lines. Some highlights of his performance include overseeing a future addition of an $11 million behavioral health unit, increasing volumes at urgent care locations, and expanding Women’s Health services into Lebanon County, PA. Nate also served as the director of operations at UPMC West Shore Hospital. In that role, he served on the executive team for the hospital and oversaw several areas, including Imaging, Lab, PT/ OT, Food and Nutrition, facilities, and Environmental Services. He also led the robotic surgery program for three hospitals in the region.

Before UPMC, Nate worked as a business analyst for hematology and oncology, and neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina Health. Nate also spent several years at Intermountain Health working in supply chain and for enterprise resources.

Nate earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University and a master’s in Healthcare Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has received an ACHE Healthcare Leadership Scholarship for demonstrating leadership, integrity, and a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning. Nate has also been an active member of several community groups in Harrisburg, PA.
